Jonathan has over 25 years of experience as a global senior leader in the Sales, Coaching, Retail and Banking sectors. He worked for 15 years at HSBC, living in seven countries: the USA, UK, Hong Kong, India, Qatar, Lebanon and Israel. His last role at HSBC was as Global Head of the Branch Network, responsible for 3,400 branches worldwide servicing 37 million customers and with 21 billion dollars in revenue. Immediately prior, as Global Head of Wealth Sales & Distribution he oversaw customer satisfaction targets of 94% and balances of 620 billion. He has worked at all levels in banking from a front-line sales agent to branch manager, area sales leader to country head and world-wide lead.
Considered an expert in all things Sales Management, Jonathan’s experience spans from design of team structures to day-to-day team management. While at HSBC, he designed and led the global incentive framework across all country markets. He was also tasked to build a culture of coaching moving beyond programming to organizational ethos. His work has the unique distinctive of combining tailor-made strategy with the ability to embed that strategy as part of the company DNA.
As a sought-after coach, Jonathan has trained thousands of leaders in over 18 countries, focusing on Leadership, Coaching, Sales Management, and Sales Skills. He is a skillful public speaker and facilitator of learning programs and team building experiences. His unique background enhances the learning message with relatable real-life connection points that serve as a bridge to lasting change. He differentiates himself as a coach not only by his expertise in customizing content to learner, but by his breadth of experience on both sides of the equation of training and performance management.
He is a native of Southern California and holds a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from Brigham Young University. He has been married for 23 years to his sweetheart Michelle and they are the parents of six children. Jonathan is passionate about music, sings with his family, loves to read and constantly learn new things. After 13 years overseas he now resides in Provo, Utah.
