Senior Partner

Jo has over 35 years of experience in Financial Services. Having worked in Kenya for the largest private Insurance company, Jo migrated to the UK in 1995 and worked in Direct Sales for Reliance Mutual as a Financial consultant before becoming a regional training manager. Jo then joined the British Medical Association (BMA) as an IFA providing financial services advice exclusively to members of the BMA.

In June 2001, Jo joined HSBC and undertook various roles in Business Development for Financial Services, Premier Banking, and leading teams across London.

In 2010, Jo as the Deputy Head of Premier, coordinated the joining up of Retail and Commercial Banking, as a collaboration to secure more banking clients. This initiative started with 20 RMs and by January 2011, it grew to 130 RMs, delivering personal banking services to commercial customers from commercial centers.

In 2012, Jo took on a transformation role and was the lead for streamlining and reducing paper initiatives by migrating to digital channels. Jo delivered online statements and an e-documents portal that supported digitized documents that were created and presented on request, thereby saving on paper versions being posted to clients. This provided HSBC customers a safe personalized repository and the service continues to grow.

Over this period the business grew from 5 countries to 16 countries, from 2.8m customers to 4.1m customers and the BDM population from 35 to 112, delivering international client acquisitions and domestic wealth business.
